Backroad Biking

Two islands, a bit of coastline, the Cetina River canyon that leads to the Adriatic Sea, and riding on the slopes of the highest mountain in Dalmatia. A mixture of typical, small, old towns, fields of lavender, olive groves, and vineyards. An incredible tour full of the views, scents, and flavors of Dalmatia. An experience to remember.


Day 1: TROGIR

Transfer to the town of Trogir. One of the best-preserved old Dalmatian cities will be your host for the first night and be the best taste of what the week ahead holds in store.    

Day 2: TROGIR - OMIŠ - MAKARSKA

Transfer to Omiš, a coastal city situated on the estuary of Cetina River and the Adriatic Sea. The road will take you through the canyon of the Cetina River and across the slopes of the biggest mountain in Dalmatia – Biokovo, leading to the well-known travel destination of Makarska.        

Day 3: MAKARSKA - BRAČ - SPLIT

A day for an island. Brač is the biggest Dalmatian island known worldwide for its specific stone – a white rock that almost all the places on the island have been built with. Throughout the journey, you will enjoy the view across the sea of the mainland, Split, and Biokovo. The Dalmatian metropolis, Split, is where you will spend the evening.      

Day 4: SPLIT - KORČULA

The ferry will take you from Split to the island of Korčula. Back in old times, the Greeks named this island Korkyra Nigra – the island is rich in dense Mediterranean vegetation. You will spend the night in the lovely place of Brna, in a hotel situated right on the waterfront.

Day 5: KORČULA

On your second day on Korčula, you will visit the city Korčula, popularly called "little Dubrovnik". Korčula has a long maritime tradition and Marco Polo is the most popular sailor from there. The old city of Korčula is full of small authentic restaurants that offer rich gastronomic delights.

Day 6: KORČULA - STON

The ferry will take you from Korčula to the Pelješac peninsula. Driving inland, you will reach Potomje – the most famous wine-growing area of Dingač. The beautiful scenic road will take you through the vineyard to the final point on the peninsula – the small city of Ston that used to be the frontier of Dubrovačka Republika back in the past.       

Day 7: STON - DUBROVNIK

On your last day, you will bike on the road from Ston to Dubrovnik, while enjoying the view the entire time. You will pass the scattered Elaphite islets and in Trsteno you can visit one of the oldest arboretums in the area. The highlight of the day is Dubrovnik, a city that is sure to excite you.

Day 8: DEPARTURE

Breakfast and airport transfer.
